Stamped Hope Cross : Etched Clay Mosaic Cross on cradled Birch Panel

Built of clay that has been etched and stamped and then embellished with different inks and glazes; this piece was then securely mounted on a cradled birch wood panel to add stability and make it easy to display. 

The panel measures 5 " x 5 " x 1 " but with the clay it is slightly larger and about 1 1/4 inches thick.  Since the panel is cradled it is ready to hang right on the wall.  I initialed the bottom corner of the painting and it is stamped and signed on the back.  This arrives in a beautiful gift box so you can also ship it as a gift (see photos).

I do not have a formula for these creations.  I start with a mood and let the creation take shape. The process makes each piece truly unique and one of a kind. Baked in many stages and finished with many archival professional sealants.  All materials used are archival, professional grade.  Durable and resilient  and easy to clean if necessary! 

I have been working in a new medium and I am loving the colors and textures.

Made with polymer clay and painted and embellished with many different mediums including pastels, paint, alcohol inks and markers.
