This is an inspirational piece of art meant to make you feel good every time you look at it!  Great as a gift for yourself or someone you care about.

Measures 5" x 7" and is a about 1.5" deep. The border of the frame is made of polymer clay,  colored and tinted with alcohol inks and pastels, these pieces get baked/cured at least twice to set in tints. I have purposely distressed the clay but there is no flaking, it is all well set. The clay is sealed with glazes and high heat.  The rest of the piece is well varnished with an archival varnish. The inset is a collage of papers, inks and the image of The Madonna in Sorrow, Giovanni Battista Salvi da Sassoferrato (August 25, 1609 – August 8, 1685) .  This also has some iridescent golds worked into the image.  The clay assemblage is mounted on a cradled birch panel. I also add an extra seal along the outer seams with clear gel medium. Hanger attached on back. All materials used are archival.  Signed on the back. 

Polymer clay is pretty resilient and not all that heavy but I still pack it very well so it arrives safely.  Arrives with an artist card. Shipped by Priority Mail with a tracking #.
