Ceres Goddess of Growth and Prosperity Retablo, mosaic, altar, shrine Polymer Clay Mosaic assemblage painting

Ceres was the Roman goddess of agriculture, grain, and the love a mother bears for her child.

Made of polymer clay mounted on a birch wood panel.  The center painting is a detail rendition I did of a classic by Jean-Antoine Watteau 1717. Carved, engraved, painted, inked....it's not easy to get completely accurate photos because there are so many layers to these pieces, so if you like it here, you will love it in person.  Something that doesn't show in the photos is that there are glimmers of gold throughout the piece.  Looks delicious!  The whole assemblage is mounted on a cradled birch panel making it easy to display.  Signed and stamped on the back.  Easy to maintain...just a soft t shirt will clean it up if ever needed. 

Arrives in a gift box and is well packed.
