Built of clay that has been etched, hand sculpted and stamped and then embellished with different inks and glazes; this piece was then securely mounted on a cradled birch wood panel to add stability and make it easy to display.  This is made completely of clay and sealed with clear clay so the structure and colors will last.  Clay is incredibly resilient and it is fairly lightweight and nearly unbreakable. 

The panel measures 5 " x 5 " x 1 " but with the clay it is slightly larger and about 1 1/2 inches thick.  Since the panel is cradled it is ready to hang right on the wall.  I signed the bottom corner of the painting and it is stamped and signed on the back.  This arrives in a beautiful gift box so you can also ship it as a gift (see photos).

I do not have a formula for these creations.  I start with a mood and let the creation take shape. The process makes each piece truly unique and one of a kind. Baked in many stages for stability.  All materials used are archival, professional grade.  Durable and resilient  and easy to clean if necessary! 

I have been working in a new medium and I am loving the colors and textures.
